Back from Beantown...

Nothing really great to talk about...just got back this morning at 3am from Boston with school

Trip, overall, sucked. We didn't get a chance to go downtown or do anything by choice i.e. explore downtown! Instead, we visited shitty shopping malls, visited Harvard, slept, sat on a bus for 48 hours, and ate junk food.

Probably the best thing to talk about would be...sleeping through Yo-yo ma. Best nap of my life. Or maybe seeing Blue Man Group. 3rd time seeing it in 4 years, still the same show. They need to change it or something...

What really bummed me out was not getting to visit Karmaloop, or even the Adidas store. We drove right past it, and i stared in and honest to god got a glimpse of all 6 Adidas Adicolor Whites. Ah well.

My Crooks and Castles tee came in. I'll take a picture of it later. Hope it fits right.

The Nike SB Eire's dropped @ Vertical Urge. Limited in sizes, but no hype so they are still there! I'm gonna save my money for the Lunars. Anyway...nothing to look forward to except Lunars and my trip to Park City next weekend.

Anyone feeling the Vans Chukkas?

GZA x DJ Muggs Concert Review

Too tired to remember the exact date...but last Saturday I was in attendance at the GZA x DJ Muggs concert @ Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill, NC. The show was sold out...and rightly so.

The show began with Kaze takin stage, a local coming out of Chapel Hill I believe. His recent CD, Spirit of `94, was something I wasnt familiar with at the show. To be honest, I had never even heard of him. But all I can say is that you WILL be seeing more of this cat. He had crazy energy on stage. Enough said.

Next up, Self Scientific, out of California. I had heard his last cd (forget name), wasn't too impressed. Im not a hater or anything, but Kaze definitely brought the energy, and Self sort of...let it drop. By this time of the show...everyone was ready for GZA and Muggs

Muggs comes out, hops on the 1's and 2's, drops a few old Cypress Hill joints and makes way for GZA. Crazy energy from the crowd, everyone throwing up their Wu's. He and Muggs did a few tracks from their recent collab, Grandmasters, and got the crowd going even more. Then, some old Wu joints such as Triumph and a few others. Overall, great show!

Upcoming shows @ Cats Cradle:
April 3rd
Murs feat. 9th Wonder
and Supreeme

April 7th
Ghostface
and M1 of Dead Prez
